When we came to GPF 5 months ago, he was willing to help us heal as we had just come out of very hurtful church experience. Each week his family opens their home for worship (this means rearranging furniture and setting up chairs…then the take-down at the end). In addition, his wife would make us a wonderful breakfast each week! He and his 2 daughters are in the midst of grief as their beloved wife/mom recently died. Despite that, he continues to open his home for worship and for fellowship as well as being willing to come alongside the GPF body. He is selfless and truly is the shepherd of the church that God has given him. Our family has been blessed by his love, the hospitality of Pastor Troy, Alyssa, CJ and Nyia. We are grateful for a pastor that has led us through difficult times, who has encouraged us and taken our family under his care as he has committed to do for each member of the GPF flock.

Though I have spent most of my life as a bit of a nomad (22 moves in 25 years!), I am happy to now call the Northland home. In my high school and college years, my mom and I volunteered together at our local Christian radio station in St. Louis, Missouri, and I vividly remember thinking how cool it would be to one day get to do this full time!
In 2016, I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a degree in biblical theology and pre-counseling. I went on to work for a local food bank in Duluth, finding my passion for partnering with community organizations to accomplish important work. All these experiences led me to serve as our listener engagement director, helping connect our listeners to the station and back out into the community. I love how music brings people together and am grateful to be working for a radio station that serves as a common ground for people to meet and engage with God and one another.
In my free time, I love to run and rollerblade, enjoy a good cup of iced coffee with a friend, go to concerts with my roommates, and bake my famous chocolate chip cookies.
If you have an upcoming event you’d like us to partner with or have ideas on how we can better connect with the community, reach out to me at [email protected].
