Slovenian Festival at the Depot

The St. Louis County Historical Society and the Slovenian Union of America will co-host a free cultural festival celebrating Slovenian heritage in Northern Minnesota. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the program features presentations on Slovenian history, music, and traditions, with speakers including Miro Medved, Joseph Valencic, and Professor Norman Setnicker.
Guests can enjoy exhibits, artwork by the late Albin Zaverl, and a 2-hour concert by the Singing Slovenes in the afternoon.
A ticketed Slovenian dinner buffet begins at 6:00 p.m. ($30 per person), with additional exhibits and traditional Button Box music by Rosanne Omersa.
